Family: married with two children

Visa type: skilled TRA, Landscape Gardener

Result: successful, settled in Brisbane

Just a quick note to say hi, thank you and update you on where we are.

We’ve been here in Brisbane for a year now and it’s so amazing!! Finally fulfilled our dream that started 2 years ago when we heard you being interviewed on Cambridgeshire radio.

Thank you so much for all your advice, guidance and brilliant service over that time, particularly with the TRA application – your input on the employment statements was invaluable. Also the seminar you organised with all the relocation companies was really helpful. From that we set up a bank account, shipped all our stuff and exchanged our money!

Again thank you so much for all your help in making this happen. We have been very impressed with the service you provided (and still provide!) and are currently working on all our friends to come out with us.

Yours is the first number we give anyone who even mentions wanting to emigrate!

Name: Martin Ivory

Family: married with one son

Visa type: skilled provisional - Barrister

Result: successful, settled in Adelaide

I had spent some time researching Australia’s skilled visa program and how, as a Barrister, I would be eligible to emigrate with my family. We emailed A&M Australian Migration with some initial questions about the visa process and their fees. From the information on the Department of Immigration website it appeared that I could only apply for a visa as a Barrister but Christina was unequivocal with her advice that this was not necessary. We were happy with A&M’s fees and clear advice during the assessment stage so appointed them to act on our behalf. Family life and work were very busy so it was reassuring to know that we had an experienced migration agent looking after the whole process for us and making sure that each stage was completed accurately and efficiently.

The Department of Immigration were going more and more slowly with processing applications and Christina kept in close contact with us to help us decide when to get the police and medical checks. We had already booked flights to Australia and thought there was no hope of being able to use this trip to validate our visas but Christina wrote to the Department and incredibly our visas were granted within a couple of weeks of completing our medicals and only 7 ½ months after the application was lodged – at a time when many applications were taking up to 11 months to be decided.

We could not have done it without A&M Australian Migration and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone thinking of embarking on this long (and at times – stressful) journey.

Name: Anna Whiteford

Family: married with five year old twins

Visa type: skilled TRA, family sponsored

Result: successful, now living and working in Perth

I phoned A & M Australian Migration after seeing them on the BBC news.

During the free telephone assessment, Christina told me that we were eligible for a skilled visa. By the time we decided to take the plunge, I felt reassured that A&M would hold our hands throughout the process.

I was very impressed with their thoroughness. Not only did Christina tell us who we would need statements from, she drafted the statements, filled in the application form, and told me clearly which documents to include.

My sister sponsored our application and A&M dealt with all her forms, documents and her bond too.

Work and five year old twin boys meant that my time and energy were in short supply during the application process! I appreciated A&M taking control of the situation and making a potentially difficult and anxious time quite painless.

Name: Geoff Gompertz

Family: married

Visa type: skilled TRA - toolmaker

Result: successful , the Gompertz family is now in Perth

We met Jason from A&M at the Property & Emigration Exhibition at York Racecourse, and he told me straight away that my trade was on the ‘wanted' list.

When we'd made the decision to go ahead, Christina handled the application and was, from start to finish, helpful, straightforward, friendly and professional.

She explained clearly about the documents, statements, employment records and so on that we had to put together and the fees we had to find. The help and advice we frequently needed was given promptly by Christina via e-mail or over the phone.

Although the application took over 2 years, it was worth every moment when we heard that our visa had been granted.

Thanks to A&M Australian Migration we are now living in sunny WA! We couldn't have done it without them.

Name: Jason Bogg

Family: partner with two daughters

Visa type: skilled TRA - electrician

Result: successful, now living and working in Perth

When we decided that we wanted to emigrate, finding people we could trust to take care of our future livelihood was a huge and daunting task.

Friends living in Perth recommended A&M and as soon as I called Christina, she put me at ease and answered my questions honestly.

We applied for a skilled trades visa and Christina took us through the procedure step-by-step, following up all our conversations by email so that we could refer back. Christina told us when we needed to amend something, how to do it, as well as answering hundreds of our questions and politely reminding us of what needed to be done.

I was outside my daughter's school at 8.45 am and it was pouring with rain when I got a call from Christina to tell me that our visa application had been successful.

It was one of the most memorable moments of my life and when I called Jason to tell him we were both absolutely over the moon. Without doubt, we would have given up on the application without the support of A&M. Theirs was one of the best services I have ever paid for – it helped change our lives for the better.

Name: Phil White

Family: single

Visa type: skilled TRA – landscape gardener

Result: successful, now living near Cairns, Queensland

I chose A&M because they were based fairly locally to where I lived, although it turned out not to matter.

The service from A&M was brilliant - Christina was exceptionally helpful, always on the end of the phone to give advice, support and updates.

If I sent e-mails, I always had a speedy reply. I really could not find any fault with the service I received throughout my visa application process.

When Christina phoned me with the news that my application had been successful and my visa had been granted, I was ecstatic and could barely speak.

I will always be grateful to Christina and A&M for helping me realise my dream. Australia is a beautiful country and although I've only been here for 4 weeks, feel as though I've been here for years!

Name: Andrew and Samantha Bannon

Family: married

Visa type: skilled IT professional

Result: successful, now looking around Australia and deciding where to settle!

We chose A&M after talking to several other agents. We felt that Christina was extremely knowledgeable and that the company's fee structure was clear and straightforward.

A&M were always there to answer our questions by phone or email. Christina remained in close contact throughout the process and reminded us about deadlines when we got a little side-tracked! They explained processing times and guided us through every aspect of the application paperwork including wording detailed employment statements.

A&M helped speed up and slow down the application process to suit our own changing plans.

After our application was completed A&M contacted us regularly to inform us of its progress.

When we received the phone call from Christina to say our application was successful we were so happy - it's been a dream of ours to go and live in Australia and getting that visa has made our dream a reality.

We would not hesitate to recommend A&M to anyone.

Name: Mr and Mrs Barrett

Visa type: contributory parent visa

Result: successful, the luxury of choice!

My wife and I were in the process of building a home on the west coast and needed a permanent visa in order that we could travel to WA on a regular basis.

I was a little sceptical of having to pay a third party to fill in the various forms required by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship on my behalf, as I thought we were quite capable of doing so ourselves. But my wife and I attended an initial meeting with Christina to discuss our options.

One of the best decisions we made was to allow Christina to act on our behalf. We had no idea that the workload for Christina would be as intense as it turned out to be. This visa application has taken some 18 months to finally reach the approval stage and throughout that period Christina has been actively persuing our application. I think we would have given up, if we had taken the view to persue this on our own.

I cannot recommend Christina highly enough and would urge any person seeking an Australian visa to use her company.

Name: Jan Holloway

Family: one daughter

Visa type: skilled sponsored - childcare coordinator

Result: successful, now in Perth

We met Jason Cook and Christina Hitchcock on a flight back from Australia having been there visiting family. Jason explained that they were both Registered Migration Agents and how they assist people with visa applications. I took their details and phoned them soon after getting back to the UK . They investigated our eligibility, answered all our questions and we quickly made the decision to appoint them.

We were made aware even before we appointed them of all of the costs associated with applying for the visa, and we were happy to know that their fee was fixed. This proved to be important as the assessment of my occupation changed unexpectedly so A&M did two skills assessments but at no extra cost to me.

As my auntie was sponsoring us they also dealt with all her paperwork and liaised closely with her. I can honestly say that they took all the stress out of the application and I can't imagine how anyone does it alone!

Even now 6 months after my visa was granted, they are still there to answer any questions. Meeting Jason and Christina on that flight was one of life's lucky moments!

Name: Robbie and Carmen Fuller

Family: married with two children and two dogs

Visa type: skilled TRA - motorbike mechanic

Result: successful, heading to Western Australia

After being told by one agent that we wouldn't qualify for Australian immigration, A&M were recommended by a family member.

The free consultation was arranged and immediately everything was made clear to us, from the fees, to each step of the application.

Throughout the process, all of our calls were returned the very same day by Christina herself. We also received updates by email every step of the way, which was very reassuring.

Although A&M do not personally deal with transporting pets to Australia, they went the extra mile, and put us in touch with a reputable company that looked after the requirements of our two dogs, which was very important to us.

We had just returned from holiday and were in the supermarket topping up on food when we got the phone call we so very much wanted. We immediately forgot most of the things that we had gone into the shop for – apart from the wine to celebrate!

We wanted to be in Australia before September as our daughter was due to start high school. We now have our visas and the flights are booked.

Thank you A&M for making our dream come true.

Name: Ms Mower

Family: daughter

Visa type: skilled sponsored - Massage therapist

Result: successful, now living and working in ACT

Originally I was going to do the application myself but soon found the paperwork rather demanding with trying to work as well, and I didn't want to risk not getting it right.

We chose A&M Australian Migration having made several enquiries online to other companies who all seemed a bit impersonal.

A&M assessed our eligibility for a visa and gave us a clear idea of the process and costs before we began the application.

The paperwork was quite considerable and they were very good at getting the right paperwork to the relevant people (we also had sponsorship to be organised) and letting everyone know what information was needed, how detailed it should be and where we were in the process.

For various reasons we wanted to enter Australia over the xmas period to get our visas validated and A&M were particularly helpful in slowing the process down and extending our final entry date so we could do this.

I am really pleased we chose A&M as they were always on the end of the phone and it felt friendly and personal. When we got the phone call we sat, eyes watering a bit saying, “Oh, they've said yes!” Once it sunk in however we were jumping around and the champagne came out!

Name: Deb Fox

Family: married with one daughter

Visa type: skilled sponsored - Office Manager

Result: successful, now in Perth (with 2 brothers and parents!)

When we decided to take our lives to the other side of the world, little did we know we were entering an emotional rollercoaster. After a number of unpleasant experiences with past agents, we randomly picked Christina out of a long list. This was a stroke of luck on our behalf and if you're superstitious you might call it fate.

Christina's professionalism, friendliness and all round helpfulness was second to none. We were kept informed of the progress of our application through telephone calls and emails, making us feel at ease at a definitely uneasy time. If they were questions we needed to know, Christina was always on hand to answer them, going beyond the call of duty to put our minds at rest.

Having been lucky to meet Christina at a migration exhibition at York , we could finally put the face to the voice, when she stopped hugging us that is! Again, she was at hand to chat to and answer any questions, plus also meet my parents who are now following us to Australia and using Christina and A & M Australian Migration.

We are indebted to Christina for all her hard work, commitment and efficiency in this difficult and unnerving time. Our jubilation when we received the acceptance letter is hard to describe but was naturally a cause for celebration.

I would whole heartedly recommend A & M Australian Migration to anyone looking to relocate. It was a pleasure dealing with someone so knowledgable as well as being friendly, helpful and warm. You could deal with no better person.

Name: Colin Lacey

Family: partner

Visa type: skilled TRA - electrician

Result: successful, now living in Adelaide (and have found a local!)

We went to a migration fair at Sandown Park in Surrey and spoke to lots of different migration agents, including Christina Hitchcock. At that stage we knew we wanted to emigrate to Australia but hadn't decided whether to do the application ourselves or to appoint a migration agent.

Our first (and lasting!) impression was that Christina was very clear with her advice and obviously extremely knowledgeable about the migration process. We still felt unsure about trusting our money and visa application to someone we'd only met once. However in subsequent phone calls, Christina was very patient and didn't push us for a decision, but explained the reassurance we would have by appointing a Registered Migration Agent. So we took the plunge and from the start, even though I am quite a cautious person, I felt 100% satisfied with my decision. Less than a year later our visas were granted.

It is only now that we have been in Australia for a while and have spoken to lots of other migrants that I realise how much help Christina gave us. People talk about the dreaded TRA application but with Christina taking control of the whole application, I found the process quite straightforward. Apparently this is not most people's experience – they obviously didn't choose the right agent!

Name: Holly Jenkins

Family: partner

Visa type: partner

Result: successful, together in Australia!

I contacted A & M Australian Migration in early 2006 to enquire about a partner visa.  Christina explained that we could not apply at that time as my partner and I had not lived together for long enough. She also gave me some tips on what sort of documents we would eventually need. I appreciated her honesty and made sure I kept her details as I knew this was the kind of person and the kind of company that I wanted representing me in one of the most important decisions of my life.

Several months later Christina told me that then was an appropriate time to start the process.  I cannot believe how thorough she was in getting together enough evidence and information to show that we were a couple, even helping friends in Australia with the statements they were writing and chasing them when needed.

She did an amazing job at keeping our application on track, particularly when we were travelling so much and my partner had an unexpected trip back to Australia.

Christina would not lodge the application until she was satisfied that it was strong enough and sure enough I got my visa.

Months later and Christina is still happy to answer our questions, and it is because of this level of service that we have recommended A & M Australian Migration to lots of people.
